RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE FIRE PROTECTION OF TRUCKS OF DIFFERENT BRANDS AND MANUFACTURERS.
Fire protection of the «GAZelle» truck
For the fire protection of the engine compartment of the «GAZelle» truck it is recommended to install at least two GFEA «Doping-2»:
- the first on the left, for example on the half-wheel of the wheel, is aimed at the carburettor and the engine manifold;
- the second to the right on the rear wall (on the half-wheel of the wheel) is aimed at the carburettor (power steering).
The specific arrangement of GFEA depends on the brand of the car and, accordingly, on the layout of the engine compartment.
Examples of the arrangement of GFEA «Doping-2» in the engine compartment of the car «GAZelle»
The manual start button «UPSP 12-24.01» or «UPSP 12.02» is installed in the driver’s cab in an easily accessible place.
As a button for manual start-up in the most critical cases (collector cars, passenger buses PAZ, GAZelle, etc.) it is recommended to install the start-up device for the fire fighting system UPSP. This device, along with the main function of launching extinguishing agents, monitors the serviceability of the starting circuit of each generator, which significantly increases the reliability of the system.
UPSP works as follows:
After installing the fire suppression system and connecting the power to the UPSP panel, the green LEDs light up, indicating that the fuses, GFEA activators and startup connection lines are working. If the integrity of the startup trunks is broken, the corresponding green LED goes out and the red LED lights up, warning the driver of a malfunction in the fire fighting system.
