Fire extinguishers ОSP-1(2) are widely used in electric equipment control cabinets of railway passenger cars. A lot of events in successful elimination of burning in passenger cars is recorded within several years. Engines of locomotives are protected with Impulse Dry Powder Fire Extinguishing Modules “Buran” of several types.
EXAMPLES OF PROTECTION OF STATIONARY OBJECTS OF THE MAP OF RUSSIA
According to VNPB 2.02 / IPS-02 «The list of buildings, structures, premises and equipment subject to protection by automatic fire extinguishing installations and automatic fire alarms», the following stationary objects of the railway are subject to protection:
- Warehouses for storing LVG, GZh and paint and varnish materials.
- Paint stations and painting and drying areas
- Electromachine, hardware shops
- Woodworking shops with repair and construction sites.
- Warehouses.
- Plants for the repair of rolling stock.
- Depot on repair and maintenance of rolling stock.
- Laboratories.
- Wash-steaming stations.
- Impregnating impregnated factories.
The set of fire protection system of posts DICS (diagnostic information control system) and DDHEB (Device Detection Heated Emergency Books) includes:
- Fire detection system with elements of security alarm and signal transmitting devices «FIRE — UNAUTHORIZED PENETRATION» to the duty officer at the station;
- Stand-alone installation of powder fire extinguishing (modules and powder automatic fire extinguishers).
