POSSIBILITY OF PROTECTION OF EXPLOSIVE OBJECTS OF MINING AND OIL-PROCESSING INDUSTRY.
The “Buran-8 explosion proof mine” dry powder module has the marking РВ ЕхsiаIХ / 1ЕхsiаIIС110 ºС Х except С2Н2, in accordance with GOST R 51330.0 and belongs to the group of mine explosion-proof electrical equipment.
This is the first powder module in Russia, which can be used on any explosive objects with practically no restrictions, including — in mines and mines, dangerous for gas (methane) and coal dust.
Until now, powder modules in explosion-proof design (the trademarks «Opan», «Uragan») had a restriction on their use, namely the categories and groups of explosive mixtures in which these modules can operate are limited to the category of mixture IIB and groups of mixtures T3-T4 .
This means that these modules can not be used if there are gases such as hydrogen in rooms (Table 7.3.3 of the Electrical Code).
In addition, modules marked with group T3 can not be used in coal mines, as p.5.1.1 GOST R 51330.0-99 «Explosion-proof electrical equipment. Part 0. General requirements «for coal dust deposits in the form of a layer contains a limitation — not higher than 150 ºС for heated parts of equipment (in modules» Opan «and» Hurricane «this requirement is not maintained).
The “Buran-8 explosion proof mine” dry powder module is devoid of these drawbacks. Restrictions on the use for this module are acetylene (as indicated in the labeling) and carbon disulfide, since carbon disulfide belongs to group T6 of the category IIC mixture.
Modules of powder fire extinguishing «Buran» were previously widely used in the mining industry in fire extinguishing systems of various fire hazardous areas — conveyors, etc. The appearance of the new «Buran» significantly expands the scope of powder fire extinguishing and allows successfully solving the issues of fire protection of explosive objects for various purposes.
