The automatic system of detection and extinguishing of fires AFDES «IGLA-M» is intended for automatic detection and extinguishing of fires on the subway cars.
This system was installed on the rolling stock of the Moscow metro between 1998 and 2003. The following modifications of 81-717 / 714 wagons, «E» series and modifications, 81-720 / 721 (Yauza) and 81-740 / 741 (Rusich) are equipped with the system.
A special feature of this system is the use as self-extinguishing powder guns of OSB-1 and OSB-2 as extinguishing agents with a trigger threshold 200 oC.
On each car there are fire-hazardous compartments. In the compartments are installed sensors of fire alarm and impulse dry powder generators “PSFE” . To monitor the state of the PSFE, they are equipped with pick-up sensors (DS). Sensors via communication lines are connected to the address local control unit (LBK), which monitors the fire situation and the state of the equipment in the compartment. For each protected compartment one block of LBK.
LBK units are connected by wire communication lines to an intermediate central control unit (PCBK), which in turn is connected to a dedicated train line to exchange information about the state of the system between the cars of the train. Block PCBK in case of occurrence of a fire danger situation produces a signal to switch off the equipment on the car.
In the driver’s cab, the head cars of the train contain central control and indication units (CBKI). Block CBKI is designed to provide address information messages about the status of the system on the composition, management of the system and the storage of the archive of events in the system.
The system is powered by the on-board network of the car in the range from 45 to 95 V.
